Susan’s paintings of the Gulf Coast trace a response to its unique landscape: from Mobile Bay to the deltas of Mississippi and Louisiana. These are places of diverse plants, shore birds and vulnerable wooden structures, as fragile and impermanent as the clouds that rise above them.
