Katie Trimble Kaufman has come full circle from her childhood in Hamilton, Texas where her mother was a teacher, her father raised cattle and she spent her spare time drawing portraits, to her retirement in Theodore, Alabama where she enjoys drawing the beauty of her phenomenal surroundings including birds, flowers and tall, beautiful trees.

Before Katie arrived in Alabama, she studied art at Texas Tech University, received a degree in Art Education from Northern Michigan University, completed the Graphic Design program at University of California, Davis and enjoyed a rewarding career in Graphic Design.Since moving to this beautiful Alabama community she has returned to her roots in art, and is an award winning artist with a focus on Native American portraits, animals, flowers and birds.
